Not sure how long before it clocks SW (maybe too early for my liking) ... so I'll hedge my bets with a heavy pow (10-15cm) session at Cypress this morning ... and maybe at SW session this afternoon.

Should have got on it early. Had one good reach, nicely powered on the 4.3/80L, came in to warm the hands and by the time I got back out to the outside it tanked! Luckily I had just enough wind to get back but it was a very long walk of shame from way down past the concession stand. The switch came around 10, much earlier than I thought it would.

Entered Tsawwassen and temperature jumped to 6 deg cel (thank you weather network). It was 2 in Maple Ridge. Arrived at 3rd at 8am with some doubts. Boundary airport reading around 14g19 ENE but ferry terminal around 25g30 S. Iwindsurf out so old school wind check: whistling trees, good direction at beach. So went 82L and 4.5. Was good until overpowered. Part 2 on 3.7 which felt fast, light and loose. Some really nice and big Centennial waves too. Like Michael said, around 10am the wind distinctly dropped. I think it did come up again as after I finished packing up as I heard some tree noise again and saw Dimitry on the go (windsurf). Looked like south wind as light at the beach so left while I was ahead.

I was wondering who that was out there! The airport reading had me worried too. It quickly jumped up and went SSE so I rushed to the beach but was too late. Too bad as it was warmer than expected and the waves were really nice!! Glad you got on it early! Hope Alton scores at White Rock.
