8-)

:D Thanks. I was thinking that might be the case.

Ever since I moved to White Rock a few years ago I've really noticed how often the thermals kick in at WR. Now with the way light wind kites and boards have developed we can easily make use of those light 10 to 13kt thermals. Last Saturday at the terminal I was using a 15m with a race board and was lit when the wind rarely got over 10Kts. And on Sunday there were kites out at East Beach.
Between January and June of last year 20 of my sessions were on the race board and 13m at East Beach. I just ordered a foil and I can't wait to see how many days I can ride this year (eel grass permitting towards the end of June). :D

My wife just got a parking ticket of $40 for parking over the signed time limit of two hours on 18th avenue in Burnaby. She parked right next to our town home unit which we own. I'm thinking about disputing it but I don't know whether I'll have any chance of success.
Somebody told me that you're supposed to purchase a decal from City Hall like $35 or so for the year to be allowed to park in excess of the 2 hour time limit.
She got the ticket at 12:50pm today and she was parked since around 10:30am.
If your dispute is successful, the fine will be set aside but if unsuccessful, we have to pay the fine plus an admin fee of $25.

She mostly park in the underground parking slot we have for the Strata.
Any thoughts would be great guys!!

Thanks

Nicolas

Does this mean an inconvenient walk-around or does the gate make it simply impossible to access the regular launching spot??

The pedestrian crossings to the west of the grass is still open. You know, with the sharp double 90 degree corners on both sides of the crossing. Good luck with a kayak, paddleboard or windsurfer. You can do it if you hold it over your head. I really feel for Darren, hopefully they can work something out for his business.

The fence is big and ugly with lots of obnoxious signage... Looks like west beach is the New east beach lol. See you there next SW!

Took the baby out for a nap/walk down to the new grass clearing at East Beach. It is just East of the WAG parking lot. There are two clearings that you can pump your kite at, but the second one is large enough to run your lines full length on the grass. The tide in these shots is approx, 3.4M. You can see the beach is less steep, could probably make this work at all but storm surge tides. Sweet
