Hey Alton Nexus membership is free for any kid under 18. Once your child turns 18 however she will have to pay the $50 USD fee. My daughter Mélanie has been on the program basically a few months after she was born back in 2009 and we did not have to pay the fee. However your child does have to go through renewal interviews every 5 years at which time a new picture is taken. Hope that helps!!

This SOB knows a few tricks including getting there early and cutting through the duty free at the truck crossing.

Now conditionally approved for my Nexus card after 4 weeks. Earliest interview date is March 2, 2015 (3 more months).

How much longer after the interview date does it take to receive the Nexus card?

Rescheduled my Nexus interview to Sun Feb 1 (next week). The Nexus office has moved to Birch Bay exit 270. I'm surprised they open on the weekend.

Finally got to use my Nexus card for the first time today. Ironically, the normal passenger lanes were almost empty and faster.
