I finally applied for my Nexus card for $50 USD. See http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/prog/nexus/goes-eng.html and apply using https://goes-app.cbp.dhs.gov

Question: have you applied for a Nexus card for your children? Do you need to create a separate GOES account for your children? Or do you use your initial GOES account?

Without reading it, my guess is it does require every single person with you to have a Nexus card.

Yes you need to create an account for each person. I just finished doing it for my wife and kids.

Thanks Michael. I'll check with my wife and daughter before I continue with their applications.

Michael - is it true that children under 18 do not have to pay the $50 USD application fee? ie. is the Nexus membership free for children?

I think it's under 12, sorry I can't remember. I applied in September and just got their appointment times last week which isn't until February. You will need to sign in to their accounts to set up the appointment times so keep that info somewhere you remember because it will be a few months after you apply.

Thanks - 5 to 6 months until the interview is what I expected.

If you go to the Blaine office you can usually get in a month or two earlier but with the kids it's easier for me to go to the one at the airport.
