Off Topic Comments, Help, Tips and Trick

Hey Gopro or action camera users. Im looking to buy my 14 year old nephew an easy to use gopro setup to so he can get into filming his skiing, biking, partying, etc. Does any one have any advice on which one would be a good easy beginner camera for filming and editing, or comments on which ones to avoid.

The hero 8 offers most of the necessary features and is probably the best option if you can find a good price. Has different models to choose from. Anything newer mostly just has bigger file sizes that are harder to edit.
360 cams like the max and insta 360 one X2 are interesting too, but pricey and kind of a hassle to edit. There's also the insta360 go 2 which is super small and light but no screen and limited battery life. These new ones do have horizon leveling, which is pretty cool for super stable footage, but with the GoPro you need the max lens mod on the 9 or 10 for that feature.
