What a surprise, removing the berm designed to stop the port from silting is causing the port to silt up. Get ready for annual dredging operations on the west berth.

I was there yesterday and the silt virtually divides the river from the bottom end now.

Give it a few more years of deposition and we'll be able to drive to the end at high tide again! Or even sooner if we get one of those debris flow events...
