Spanish Banks Tides

Off Topic Comments, Help, Tips and Trick

I always forget at what tide the shelf is at Spanish Banks.

These photos are taken at a 2.25m tide and the shelf is probably about 10-15 cm exposed so I would estimate the shelf sits at:

2.4 m
7.9 ft

The photos are from the Spanish Banks West Concession point where we typically launch.

Not entirely sure what you asking but what I think what you are asking is, "What is the elevation of the bank where we kite (next to the west concession) and at what tide does it get fully exposed?"

The elevation of the bank varies, as shown in the this photo.

There is some info on sailable tide depths and the bank exposure at Acadia here.
(not to be confused with other types of exposure at WB  )

Hope others who usually sail there can provide more info.

Oh I wasn't really asking anything, just making a post so I can reference it when I forget and maybe others will find it of use.

I like to know the depth of the shelf at the kite launch area for when you can walk out and when it's safe to foil.

One thing I would like to know is how to view the attached pictures, I uploaded decent resolution images but the ones that appear inline are heavily down rez'd.
