Jericho Parking Pass 2024

Off Topic Comments, Help, Tips and Trick

I've observed in many situations an annual pass is provided so locals can enjoy the amenities in their own neighborhood rather than for profit. I think I had a Blodel Conservatory annual pass one year that was the same price as 2 visits. West Van just added pay parking to their parks, but the annual pass is $20. Where annual means the whole year unlike whatever the Jericho pass is.

Pay parking is a fair means to control a shared limited resource, especially in tourist season, and I get that, but off season at Jericho those lots are empty, that's just a complete cash grab from the locals who want to enjoy their neighborhood parks. And you know they're eyeing the entire Spanish Banks, I think they tried once already.

Doesn't really seem worth it anymore. I do prefer the paved lot for foiling and low tide.
I guess it's back to searching for free parking 8-)
