Wingfoil recommendation?

Looking at buying a foil for a newbie winger...
Two options so far include

Slingshot Fsurf V3
or
Fanatic Aero Carve 1400

Any thoughts?

I rode what was basically the fsurf v3 for like three or four years windfoiling and later winging. It was good but it has some design issues. Overall it was good for learning and mellow cruising around. The thing is it's a bit of a dead end for upgrading, they released the Quantum wings recently, but you are still limited for options. It was clear to me Slingshot was pushing people to their very nice and expensive Phantasm carbon line if they wanted progressive setups, and there is no compatibility between the two lines. I have no experience with Fanatic and have since moved to Gong where there are something like nearly 50 front wings to choose from and tons of upgrade paths. If you can find a really great deal on the fsurf and aren't in a hurry to get on a high aspect performance setup it could be alright.
