Wakesurf boards generally don't get longer than 5 feet

I was looking for something like the 5.4" Slingshot Space Pickle or the Liquid Force 5'6" Fish.

Darren might have been thinking of me, I bought a 5.0 SP off him early last summer and sold it this spring. It had amazing low end and good upwind, easy to learn on. However, compared to other surfs it is slower, which made light-wind tough.

Hey tweegster, thanks for the info. It probably was you he was talking about. :D I think I'll get the 5'4" or the newer Ankle Bitter.

Cool, heads up the 2016 SS boards are out, seen some tempting deals on the 2015's.

FYI the 2014 boards have their own funky SS Fin Box's and I was not impressed with them, both on the my SP, Rant SUP and my buddies T-Rex. They are hard to get the fins (stock SS or FCS ones) fully secure. They are appear beefy but seem to flex and open up under the screw load. The 2015's apparently are FCS2.

I really liked the T-rex too, super fast. and almost as easy to ride as the SP. But, I am coming to the conclusion that I generally don't like wide tailed surfboards or Sups. So it is the *edit* screamer that has my eye.

I have a SP 5'0 in wakesurf construction. Great board to learn strapless on. The thing is as stable as a cruise ship, you can take all day doing your gybes. Very hard to tack when riding it as a quad though, I highly recommend just running two front fins for learning tacks.

It's also a board that likes to ride slow, which can be okay especially if you are trying to surf wind swell.

The board changes radically when you switch between quad and just the 2 front fins. As a quad it's super locked in with crazy upwind off the fins but hard to throw around. With the 2 fins it's loose and super fun but your upwind goes to shit and you have to ride it off the rail.
