Had some nice turns up at Cypress this morning. There was about 10 CM of fresh snow on the sides of T33 and the upper part of Collins. The groomers were quite hard on the top part of the slopes but softer lower down. Did a couple of runs with Alton on Eagle which opened a bit late.

Day 34 - Hero corduroy for some great carving fun on Collins then Fork / Lower Panorama. Nice dry day for a change.

Day 36 - Surprisingly uncrowded for Family Day. Firm conditions until LeopardSkin and I got to Collins for some pretty good conditions for carving.

Day 38 - Relatively good conditions for carving. Surprised corduroy is still in good shape.

Avalanche.ca was forecasting 10-20 CM of snow for last night and another 30-40 CM for today with a freezing level of 1,000 M. I arrived at the parking lot at 8 AM. Zero degrees and raining heavily. No snow accumulation on the snow stake web cam. Eagle Chair openened first just before 9 AM. Was the second one down Upper Fork and had great turns on the fat skis with about 15 CM of fresh snow. The snow got quite sticky once you hit lower Jasey Jay. Some nice fresh snow on Upper Cat track as well as T 33 once it opened.

Wednesday - Day 39. Soft sludge was ok for practicing switch riding. Overall, the morning riding with Alton was not that good.

Day 40 - Best described as riding on velcro. Overall, the morning riding with LeopardSkin was not that good.

... so I salvaged the day with a sweet wave session at Boundary Bay
