DST not working as expected. Crowds arrived early to enjoy the sun.

Day 69 - Fun riding supreme groomers with Mike this morning under mixed sun and cloud. Good to see Dmitri and Patrick there too.

Hey Tony - Nailed it. Followed the steps in your video and it worked like a charm ... also witnessed by Mike.

Malcolm's advice to "slam the door shut" and Patrick's tip to pivot over the front foot did the trick.

I'm still trying to figure out how to exit with speed. The pitch on Panorama is too low so I often stall out. Lower Jasey Jay has a good pitch but I still have a need for speed.

I'll study Ryan Knapton's video in slow mo to see how he does it.

Nice.

Revert carves are a standard soft-boot carving manoeuvre. Every soft-boot carving video has revert carves, including the Nidecker Slice 'n' Dice videos, and the Korua videos.

After studying the Slice 'n Dice Vol 2 video (2:00) at 0.25x speed, I think I need to transfer the centrifugal force from the euro carve to the back foot by aggressively pivoting off the front foot ... I try tomorrow :D

I coincidentally just bumped into Patrick at Sansho Sushi in North Van and he confirmed the above ... BUT he said transfer force to the back foot earlier to avoid carving uphill and losing speed

Day 70 - 5 to 10 cm of heavy fresh put some big smiles on the usual suspects (Clay, Doug, Bill, Bob ...). Mighty fine snowboarding:

1 x WindJammer (first tracks)
1 x Crazy Raven (fresh on skiers left)
2 x Shoreline (mainly untracked)
1 x Benny's
2 x Upper and Lower Coyote 7
2 x First Sun
1 x Olympic

Day 71 - Nice 3 cm to 5 cm dusting today ... but the fog was as thick as molasses. At least the fog hid the stashes for fresh from general view. Pretty empty for spring break. Only usual suspects were Bob, Bill and King. Apart from enjoying the fresh, got many opportunities to work on revert carves.

Day 72 - After 4 consecutives days of snowboarding fresh ... finally a groomer ski day under sunny sky.

Fun skiing hero groomers with Doug until 10am when it turned chunky. We also scored first tracks on Sky chair. Usual suspected included Doug, Clay, Brian and Mokka.

To explain it.... Yes, that's the name of my niece. And it was like summer at Cypress today. I'm planting the seeds of water sports :).
