Day 12. Totally awesome morning snowboarding at Cypress. Lots of early arrivals including Francis, AJ, Tony/LeopardSkin, Roy, Mark, Jerry, Massimo, Alan, Rob W, Doug H, Rob D and Kirsten ... scored fresh tracks (but heavy snow) on Eagle Chair for 2 runs then fresh tracks on Raven for the rest. Fun poaching Olympic run with Jerry and Francis for even more fresh tracks. We beat the crowds so literally no wait times all morning.

A good night at cypress. Clear and cold with soft pack snow and no lineups. The parks are starting to take shape which means injuries will follow shortly. :?

Day 14 snowboarding at Cypress. Clay, Jerry, Rob and I got some fresh snow over bumpy groomers with flat light (poor visibility) ... not as good as Sunday and Monday.

Day 15 snowboarding at Cypress. Much better today. Blue sky (great visibility) and 5 cm fresh snow over groomers with Doug, Bob, Rob W, Clay and Jerry. After 1 run down Jasey Jay discovered Crazy Raven was open and one quarter was ungroomed with 20 cm of fresh snow! Defiled Crazy Raven with first tracks! Coyote 7 was tracked out but exceptionally soft.

Sky chair never opened but Humpty Dumpty was nicely groomed and smooth. Discovered Rainbow was better organized then Coyote but just as soft so I spent the rest of the morning there.

Strange how I'm beginning to like snowboarding nowadays.

Went to cypress for first tracks and what a way to celebrate my birthday. We timed it perfectly to be some of the first people on the Raven chair side of the mountain with so much untouched powder. It was so soft I was brave enough to try a front flip, and landed it! I've never seen cypress with such good snow, under blue sky with no lineups at all! Stopped in at airtime on my way home to pick up my new kite. If I get laid tonight this could be the best birthday ever. ;)

TMI ... Happy Birthday.

Too bad we missed each other on the Raven chair. Jerry, Clay and Rob W were there too.

It would have been good to see you guys there. We were mostly hitting the first sun run. We were all exhausted by 12:00 so we hit the bar.
