Snow season starting

When it's absolutely too cold

Day 4 snowboarding at Cypress. Beautiful sunny day. Slightly disappointed since most of the fresh snow was groomed over. Groomers were hard packed this morning (8:45am) and not as nice as the weekend. Small patches of fresh snow on the sides of Panorama which had the softest snow today. Nice to see Doug, Rob, Bob, Jerry and Clay. Too bad I missed Cash who arrived just as I finished at 10am.

Day 5 at Cypress. Snowboarding all morning with Cash on Eagle runs and Collins. Best soft groomers of the year. Enjoyed by Jerry, Clay, Rob, Cash, Bob, Bill and I.

CYPRESS

Please Note: The winds have settled enough to allow Eagle Express to re-open for the evening. Easy Rider will also be operating until 10 PM.

Lions Express and Sky Chair will remain closed for the remainder of the evening and re-open tomorrow morning.

It is continuing to snow heavily at 5:30 PM - be certain to have good winter tread tires when travelling to Cypress Mountain this weekend!!!

Sunday Schedule:

With the continued snow coming in this evening and expected to fall through the night, we'll plan to open a ton of additional terrain tomorrow. Look for Horizon, Humpty Dumpty, Horizon Bypass, Cat Track, and possibly Lower Fork to be added to our open runs tomorrow - that's gonna be a lot of Skiing and Riding!

Cypress crazy busy. 20min wait time. First run was nice but sticky. Second run already skiied out. Have to hunt for virgin patches.

Lions chair still not open. I've got no patience for this.

Jerry, Tony, Clay, Doug also here.

Day 9 snowboarding at Cypress. Disappointed with foggy hard pack conditions on lower Cypress ... until the Sky Chair opened. Finally some really snow - dry, soft and sunny. Look at the contrast below and above the clouds. Big smiles with Rob W, Jerry and Clay :D

at last some real snow. That looks like beauty, and I am not a skier/snowboarder but I'll give it another try this winter being so close, what a great view!, here down below is cloudy, another gray working day for the masses.
