Glad Bryan was there and convinced me to sail of the south side. Wind was almost straight offshore but a steady 20-22 knots. We sailed up and down the channel in super flat water for 2.5 hours. Freestylers would love this place, nice and flat ( not glass but close ) warm water, and a really long reach. If you want to keep practicing a move on the same tack you just keep going. I did 4 carve 360's on the same tack, came really close on a few. You can see the channel in the pics and it looks like there is hardly any wind out there but I was fully powered most of the time on my 5.2 110L, Brian was lit on his 6.5 99L. Way better than Squamish and without the drive. Forgot to mention today was the first time I tried a freestyle fin. Used the Makani Naia 21CM felt really nice, I'm going to use it more often.

Yup was thinking about you and Mike. Great spot too bad it doesn't happen there that often. I tired it for the first time last summer but there wasn't enough wind. Today was perfect. If I think it's going to happen again I'll let you know. Tide was slack at 1.0m at 9 to 10 right when we sailed.
Just had a really fun hour on the water at Locarno/Jericho. It was really light, but warm in boardshorts! Managed to nail 4 starboard helitacks, despite the gusty/light wind, so the session was won.
A couple of guys out on bigger gear ripping on the outside.
