At Windfest in Hood River.

1. Starboard AtomIQ 120 with Sailworks Retro 7.0. Very wide (80.5) board. Looks like a flying saucer, like a clown board. Very quick to plane. Fin as big as a sailboat keel. Doesn't like to turn.

2. Naish Crossover Air windsup with Starboard Windsup 5.5 sail. Board is inflatable. Fin and daggerboard are made of rubber. Deck feels squishy under the feet. Sail is made of dacron and has only 1 short batten at the top. Very light rig. Wind was 5 to 10 knots. Novel.

3. Starboard Futura 111 and Sailworks Retro 7.0. Quick. I was passing everyone. Fin was big as a sailboat keel. Doesn't like to turn like an FSW. I would prefer the Futura 111 over the Starboard AtomIQ 120 flying saucer.

4. JP FSW 101 and Sailworks Revo 5.0. Board does what it's supposed to do. Surfy too. I like it. I've never ridden Sailworks sails before. I'm surprised the Revo has a forced draft like the 2009 Ezzy Panther (and perhaps the later Ezzys). The sail pops to the other side. Perhaps the Sailworks Gyro is softer.
