That draws my 2014 BWD tour participation to a close. :?

Overall this was possibly the ‘best’ windsurfing mission I have ever been on. :D 8-) Over 3,000 km travelled to score 17 sessions in 10 days (including SUP sessions) with 8 days in row providing down-the-line sailing on the coast. Conditions ranged from super challenging to light using 4.0/4.5/5.2 for sails and a range of boards (74/92/110) used. Mission complete for 2014!

Overall this was possibly the ‘best’ windsurfing mission I have ever been on. :D 8-) Over 3,000 km travelled to score 20 sessions in 10 days (11 windsurfing, 6 SUP, and 3 SUP-sailing) with 7 days in row providing down-the-line sailing on the coast. Conditions ranged from super challenging to light using 4.0/4.5/5.2 for sails and a range of boards (74/92/110) used. Mission complete for 2014!

Thanks to all who shared those days on the south Oregon coast and helped to make it such a memorable trip! :D 8-)

In case anyone has interest in looking through the results of the trip here is a summary with links to session logs and slideshows.

Chris, I have next week off and the Gorge weather looks blistering. Do you think it's an ok setup for Dungeness? Love to check the place out with sailing gear and bikes but rather not go with no chance of wind.
thanks,
Brian

Thanks Dave. This is very helpful. Last time I actually sailed by the river mouth of Pistol River.

AJ: I forgot to mention that there are likely at least three headed down from the island (as posted on BWD): TheLaw (Mark) and Duncanguy (van pooling in a U-Haul truck) and Windsurfish (Chris, likely in a red Subaru wagon). Watch for them in your travels - all know the area well and all are good people! :D ;)
