UBC Windsurf Racing Saturday August 19th

The UBC Sailing Club is holding a small Rabbit Racer windsurfing event this Saturday August 19th and wanted to welcome windsurfers from outside UBC as well!

We’ll learn rabbit starts and have a beginner course, a small longboard course, and possibly a slalom course (depending on the wind).

There’ll be a racing clinic beforehand at 11:30 which will be fairly beginner oriented, although folks are welcome to join that as well, or on the water. The plan will be to head to the water around 13:00 and have the first race (likely beginner course first depending on the wind) at 13:30. There will also be a social with optional $10 food after the racing.

Hope it is a great success, or something to at least build on. I can't make this one but would be interested in future event.

Can’t make it today, but would love to see more of these happening in the future. It’s a great way to get kids excited about the sport.
