Windsurfing shop talk

Learning on an 86l board, quite the sinker. Ryan gave me a tip today and utilizing it I executed my first dry tack. Nobody saw it lol but I had a big grin on my face. Was not able to reproduce after but I know I am on the right track. :D

I was not throwing the sail in the transition sufficiently vigorously to get it to the correct position in front of me. My successful one was quite vigorous :D

Cheers!

Tip was: just after grabbing the new boom (or mast) with the old back hand, pull that hand across your body and into wind so you end up over the board and backwinded.
