Cant make it today, but wondering what the foiling situation is at Bbay with the weeds?
Do you schlog out with weeds on your foil, than remove them and hope there are none when you make it to the outside?

Friday Sep 17 the wingers were pretty frustrated with the weed situation at Boundary Bay

Hey Richi, I had to clean the weeds off once today heading out from the beach but once outside they were fine. I heard they were really bad the other day, like Alton mentioned, making things frustrating. It was a fun day, not epic but some really nice swell way outside. Went with footstraps for the first time today and that was tough at first. Breaching the foil all the time and having a hard time controlling things and couldn't pump. Then after a while it started to click and it was really nice. Tried my first jump that was more like a controlled breach and landed nose first, those are going to take some work. Caught one really nice long wave ride linking up a few nice waves with the wing flagged out. Looking forward to more fall days!

Right on thanks guys, that was what i was kind of guessing. I guess we need a few more punishing storms to rip the weeds out yet. See you out there hopefully soon

I was windsurf foiling on a 103cm mast. Lack of wind was my issue, weeds weren't a problem once I got out past the sandbars
