The low tide under 5' feet at noon may require a short walk to the south. Very user friendly and safe place to sail with onshore wind and shallow water. If the wind is pumping the ramps build and some fun little backside rides can be had. Negatives from what I've seen are: hike down/up to/from beach (about 200 m each way), debrie in the water (can whip you over the nose), gusty (on most days), shifty (can be a touch sideoff at the launch to cause a bit of a windshadow), wild swings in wind speeds (can turn on and off and back on again).

Personally, I really like the spot. Onshore and playful, kind of like a gentler version of White Rock East Beach.

So, now the debate for me. Dave, should I at my current skill level head for Locust or CNL? Also my quiver is 4.5/5.7/7.2 with my 110L JP. Thoughts?!? :?

LD: Locust: You will be able to stand everywhere but guts to 40 may make your board seem big. CNL: Tide may be a touch high to stand further out, but wind may be more manageable and less 'angry'.
