Sunday Westerly - JWSP

Looks like some potential for a westerly clearing push through Juan de Fuca Strait on Sunday. Current models show 20-30 knot westerly winds straight through to JWSP. I wouldn't make the trip with anything less than a gale warning and 25-35 knots forecasted. We'll see if they upgrade it over the next 24 hours.

JWSP has more appeal, but it looked light on GFS Spotter. Thanks for keep an eye on it for us. :D

No sweat Dave.

JWSP is still a no go with the current forecast outlook. You really need a minimum 25-35knot gale forecasted at the east entrance of Juan de Fuca to make the trek and preferably 30-40 or 35-45. I'm hoping Sunday gets bumped up to a gale warning after tomorrow morning. It does look pretty sweet for Ebey tomorrow on the SE though :D

Cheers,

Chris

Hey Guys,

NWWS just upgraded to a westerly gale for tomorrow :D JWSP should be solid from first light through to noon or so. Hope everyone still has some left in the tank after today's epic SE winds north and south of the Lower Mainland. Check the actuals first thing tomorrow and plan to be out first light if you're committed to JWSP.

Cheers,

Chris

Remote chance but I'm on standby for Sunday dawn patrol at the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. Who's with me (on standby)?

Animal House reference.

I'd might be up for Gulf Road or JWSP, Ferry Terminal - not so much. I'll be up around 6 am to check actuals.

I'd like to sail the Ferry Slip Sunday with you.
There may be a problem getting out on the road - I'll bet it's covered with logs from the last high Tides.
We'll see.

Westerly appears to be downgraded. I'll remain on standby but with low expectations.
