Hi Dave,
No sweat with the update. I've been watching this closely and the forecast seems to be all over the place for JWSP. There's now solid gales up for JdF Strait and NW 20-30 for Admiralty. The TAF for Ault field went from light SE to W 17-24 all day.
I would still head to Point Roberts though if it were me. Too far to drive for a so so forecast that might not even push all the way to Whidbey. Save the trip for a high end westerly gale and the huge waves. Point Bob should rip for you guys today.........classic setup for some sweet swell rides off the point this afternoon
It's been way too busy on the work front with only one day windsurfing in the last month. Nothing but flying and looking at the wind and water back and forth all day from 500 feet.
Picked up a Spleene Monster Door and a 17m Slingshot Turbine to rip around in 8-15 knots. The light wind gear has sure improved since I stopped kiting! It's been filling the void between the 6.7 Goya Eclipse and the 118L Goya Quad nicely.
Take it easy and have fun today at PR! Lots of pictures please
Cheers,
Chris
