Perfect timing today! Bailed on Locust at 8:45am and returned to 3rd Ave / Boundary Bay by 9:20am - no border wait. Scored 2 solid hours on my 10m kite with surfboard from 10am to noon. SSE 15-25 with knee to waist high swell. Only 3 of us at 10am but lots of late arrivals got skunked when it shut down at noon.

Started catching weeds today probably due to low tide (3m at 10am) but managed to jump them off in the sweet ramps. Repaired wetsuit worked well and the pain from my strained calf muscle was very manageable.

Watching Dave tear it up on the Columbia cam... once I have my $$$ in order, I'm getting ferries over for the big forecasts from now on. Big Bbay days seem to be a pipe dream at this point..

Comox looking very good today as well. Not as strong as last Monday, but the 15ft tide would probably make for much better wind in the flats for both kiters and windsurfers...

Does anyone know who was taking pictures today at third. I'd like to see them if possible.

Thanks

Matt

Not sure who he was - maybe a local. This guy spent a lot of time taking pictures.

Thanks for the compliment AG! Click here to view a few shots from today. Enjoy! :D

It was definitely more fun once the tide went out a bit and the waves on reef started to form up. 8-)
