BTW you'd have been on your 4.5 20 minutes south of the border

The graph doesn't look any better than at 2pm, when it wasn't worth getting we either. I don't think we missed much.

Dave, Darrel and I scored the last hour until dark. I was picking up my son when I saw the trees moving so I bolted down to the beach. I was hoping someone would still be there and was glad to find Dave and Darrel down at the beach checking out the wind. Rigged fast and hit the water with the 5.8 110 combo. Started slogging till I reached the wind line then got in some nice planing runs. Slogged a bit in the lulls but got in a few tacks and a nice duck jibe. Totally saved my day as I was sulking around the house after waiting at the beach for hours with no wind! :D

Good score Michael. I'd call that "local's privilege" (I'm jealous).

Truth be told Darrel and I were both hedging, as it was borderline when M showed up like the
Energizer bunny all fresh, warm, dry and super keen! I already had my suit on and he still beat me to the water (just). :o Nice duck jibe M! Saw the whole thing! :D 8-)

Some 'typhoon' - I used the biggest gear I have ~ ;) Still nice to get in some rides in the 'warm' water! :D

Thanks to Darrel and M for making sure I got in safely and the the park warden for the 'lock-up' warning (came in off the water about quarter to 7 and exited the park at 7:01).

Looks like the Vancouver Island crew scored a Thanksgiving feast at Columbia.

My ignorance was rather blissful...

Friday's forecast is looking pretty good at this point:
