We have EC calling for 10-15 in the Sound, 18-20-24 thermal forecast and Lillooet calling for 25 knot Southerlies this afternoon.

Looks very good.

Graph's looking good, I can't make it out though... Temp gradient looks similar for tomorrow, might try then.

Many thanks to Angus/Slappy for calling it today. I stopped watching Squamish over a week ago but was pleasantly surprised when the satellite and webcams showed minimal clouds. Scored over an 1 hour on my 10m kite (2pm-3:15pm) in SW 15-18. For some reason the wind didn't feel as strong as the sensor illustrated. Definitely not enough for my 5.2/93L windsurfer.

Glad you scored after your long and arduous time off water. Thoughts on tomorrow's forecast??

I'm hoping clouds will be minimal like today so I'm on standby for Wed and Thu depending on the cloud cover just before noon.

As I was packing up the last of my stuff and getting Dex a huge sea lion poked it's massive head out of the water about 20 ft from shore in the river. Man I wouldn't want to mess with those guys.

Wind definitely didn't feel as strong as the graph, felt more like 18. Great day, I think there were about 17 kiters with a few more over a Nexen.

How'd you guys launch at the spit? The kites? Bring your own mat?

No mats. The pea gravel looks harmless. Just be gentle and avoid packing your kite with it. I put a rock inside my bag to hold down my kite.

Might have to leave work early today to go get my poison ivy cream.

I would bet the pea gravel does less damage than the mats, there are other objects mixed in with the pea gravel that are dangerous though.
