Solid 5.2. Then some Kona Brewing beer (thx to Adrian) and Mags99 to end the summer sessions.

Weird. The SWS windgauge (linked under Weather Tools) was reading more like 13 - 18 and only looked sailable for about an hour, from 245 - 4pm. I guess I shoulda' gone.

Brian, we suited up and hit the water just after 2:30, at which point it steadied out at 15-19knots for about an hour and a half until 4pm. Light wind training/mostly not planing until 5pm, then off the water. By the time beers were done and we were derigging, the wind was picking back up!
The 5:30-6:30 session would've probably been the best, but it was getting cold quick.
Bare in mind too that this was all in the river, and I'm fairly certain the current adds 1, maybe 2, knots of planing power.

Aha, that all makes much more sense. Thanks for the reality check on Tony's report! Glad you made the most of the light wind on a beautiful late summer day. Good on you.
