Nexen July 11th

There wasn't much water left in the Nexen Bay today. I managed to get out tho on my 9.9m and Formula board. A couple of tacks and I was way above the crowd and all alone past the point.
I know most guys and gals on here love the wave freestyle aspect of the sport but I gotta say it's amazing to feel the efficiency of formula gear. It is very physical and your body feels part of the equipment, straining to keep your shit together at moments. When your gear is tuned right and you are lit up I don't know how much better it gets? Hope to see more of you past the point in clean air!

Yes I know what you mean, I was able to shlog up to the wind line on a 7.0m retro and 24" Roberts, but when I finally got there I was fully powered and loving it at the North Bluffs, nice flat water without the River chop!
