Anyone know what tide the Spanish banks disappear at? Thinking the 12 ft plus tide should make it good to go with the foil.

Looks like it's lowest is 10' at sunrise peaking super high at noon. The afternoon should get some decent swells if this forecast is for real.
Edit: oh wow it looks like morning wind now.

Looks like Ambleside might be good a bit later. Seems to peak around 1:00

It was barely WSW 15 but James and Adam made it work on their wings ... then Mike (wind foiling) and I (12m+surfboard) caught the tail end. Short session but worth the smooth shoulder high swell. Kinda spooky to ride with minimal bar pressure but the "powder" like conditions made it worthwhile.

Damn, sorry I missed that. I think shoulder high swell warrants an OSR Alton. :o

Went out from Erwin park in the afternoon, long paddle out in zero wind, but got a nice gust to the wind line and managed a few hours between the tanker and lighthouse park. Decent swell, not too big but very rideable on foil with 6m wing and plenty of power. Managed to find a gust to ride back to shore just before it died off at 4. Might try launching from lighthouse park next time. Seems like the wind always concentrates there.

Turns out wingfoiling with gloves is no fun. Decent kitefoil session though.

My hands will be pretty cold to start, but warming then up after 10 min or so on the water by either coming in or windmilling them aggressively while on the water once or twice makes them comfortably warm the rest of the session.
