I'm a little skeptical about easterlies and/or up/down conditions. Fingers crossed

The forecasts definitely downgraded (and vary) but it still looks workable. I'm thinking to head out mid morning in hopes of a bit more south in the wind by later morning??

Update - wind now a bit more south. Not classic SSE but better than ESE. Hope that holds.

A bunch of us caught the beginnings of it last night. Surprisingly high number of kiters.

Other than myself, there were a couple of other windsurfers out (except I was kiting... ;) ). I really miss a full on windsurf session but it seems lately lots of uncertainty in the wind so the ranginess of the kite and kite surfboard is hard to resist.

Blown off water on 9M after 15 minutes. 7M was nice and so were the waves even with the incoming tide. Waves were best and most plentiful on the lower tide point. Wind went very south which was interesting and unexpected.

Hoping for more tomorrow.

Good wind for foiling today at Erwin Park in W Van. I was out on a 4.5, windsurf foiling, and two wingers were out on 5m wings. Could have gone smaller but it was holey (although I was also struggling a bit in the gusts - just not good enough yet).
No issues with low tide at that location, and an easy drive for me. It definitely doesn’t compete with a good day at Centennial but it’s great to have another option on SE or SW days.

Definitely up and down today. It was a day of bad timing for me. Scored the SSE 30 peak on 5m+surfboard but it was short lived. When I switched to 8m+surfboard it tanked and I remained under powered. The weed patches didn't help without weed fins ... so had to take as many ramps as possible.

On the bright side, it was balmy warm and ended up with dry kites.

Centennial review.

It was briefly windy. Lots of weeds. Mostly light wind. Skunkage.

On the plus side, the salt water washed off the dried dusty Spit crust from the gear.
