PSA:
The ravens will open your zipped bag to look for food. They'll pull your clothes out too.

Been pretty solid wind at the end of the trail there lately. Usually just paddle for a minute and wait for a gust to get up and a few tacks out of the channel. Great swell at/South of the mouth. Walk isn't too bad with wing gear as long as you know what your going to rig. Couple of us are biking in, trail is a bit tricky but no sign of ravens there at the South end yet.

Learned my lesson yesterday. Got tired from being overpowered on my 5.0.

So rigged 4.7 today, which was just right ;)

This afternoon, the ravens poked holes in some gear bags and stole snacks.

First day of the Squamish season accompanied by Alton Jr with her new surfboard (5'3" Spleene Zone). Pretty solid SW 25 with the usual chop on 8m fully depowered. Would have preferred my 6m but Alton Jr took it.

I mentally prepared myself for the new shuttle routine. Lucky to arrive at noon for civilized parking.

2nd session at Squamish. Scored a very civilized 2hrs with early start in steady SW 20-24 on 6m+surfboard. Called it quits at 1pm just before it turned to ugly westerly. Alton Jr scored her first tack on a strapless surfboard. Nice to see AJ.

Good score! My 1st Squamish session was Friday and my shuttle timing was perfect so I'd say it worked out great (until I STILL hit 2nd narrows traffic "joy" in spite of leaving early). Encourage Alton Jr to learn to pop the board and grab (strapless). I've tried this on and off for a bit and am hopeless - I need someone at the early stage to figure it out and give me tips :D .

Day 3 at the Spit. Yet another 6m+surfboard day in silky smooth river SW 20-24. Alton Jr nailed another strapless tack.

Alton Jr and I are now sporting new harnesses with surf ropes instead of spreader bars ... so much nicer

Day 4 - One of the windier days SW 25-30. 8m+surfboard was a bit of a handful ... but the chop made for some gnarly wipe outs. At the end of our session, I tried Alton Jr's rig (6m + Spleene Zone surfboard) - way more civilized.
