Saturday report.

Two beef burgers with cheese.
Two chocolate macadamia Clif bars.
Two PC pops.
One grape juice sippy box.

And one well-fought prize.

Did you windsurf?

... or just stuff your face ... and now self-loathing in regret of unnecessary consumption?

Way better than expected. Steady SW 20-25 starting at 12:30 perfect for 8m+surfboard. Scored 2 ghetto tacks (ass touching water). Alton Jr landed her first duck / roll tack on 5m+surfboard !!!

Uncrowded likely due to the absence of hamburgers.

Monday review.

Forecast said decent wind, with gustiness starting around 3:00.

Went out at 1:00. Steady 25. At 3:00, the wind turned to shit.

For once, the forecast was spot on.

:D

Best Squamish session of the season. Super steady SW 25 perfect for 5m+surfboard before Alton Jr took it away from me. 8m+surfboard also worked well with full depower ... especially down at Nexen where waves were smooooooooooooooooth and clean perfect for endless bottom turns.

Alton Jr joined me at Nexen where we spent most of our day. She landed one perfect duck / roll tack and about 10 others not so perfect.

Overall great timing as we missed the lull and escaped the 40 kts gale on an earlier shuttle crossing.

I timed it perfectly, rigged in the lull, 5.0 windsurf, then had to hang in in 40 knots with 5 dimensional chop.

Way better than expected. Super steady SW 20-22 on 12m+surfboard ... would have preferred 8m so headed waaaaayyyyy upwind into the blue water to shave off some wind.

That clear water was lovely today, nice watching the salmon swim around. Almost got hit by a few fish flying through the air. Nice wind, but much swell though...

Side note, steering problems with the SWS boat, might be a bit slow tomorrow.

Saturday afternoon was nicely filled in. Steady low 20s. I made sure the golf greens were neatly trimmed :D

Is today the last day of the season?

Huh? Not sure where you sailed but it was steady SW 25+ for me - perfect for 5m+surfboard (when Alton Jr let me use it). Otherwise, lit on 8m+surfboard with full depower. Spent the noon session (before the sandar) way upwind in the blue water to shave off wind ... then the mid-afternoon session down at Nexen to ride nicely organized waves. Great way to end the week.
