Hey Slappy,

Nice video. I saw you out there recognize the wing. I’ve been winging porteau a fair bit this season and a bit last year. It is super fickle and this wknd was great example of that. Me and my friend were out with fone Cwc 8m wings which makes it look windy but it was pretty light - maybe 6-8 with gusts 10-12. I was on an Armstrong 1225 cm foil struggling at times, friend on 1850. Looks like you launched north / inland of the boat launch. When properly windy that works but usually I launch as for south as I can. Towards the “point” by the campground. Wind can be several knots stronger and is key to getting upwind to the narrows between anvil and mainland. While it was light on shore I was overpowered on the 8m up there, I came in thinking to switch to 5m and was shocked how light it was on the beach.

Yesterday, was a classic overcast Squamish day. Super steady SW 18-20 perfect for 12m and working on tacks. Oddly uncrowded on Sunday ... opposite of Saturday

Yeah, it looks like the better spot to launch but I didn't want to hump my gear over those nasty rocks so opted for the pebble beach and boat ramp.

Had a brief bit of 12-15 knots at SB yesterday allowing me to get up and foiling.

Classic light Squamish uncrowded day. Mix of sun and cloud. Steady SW 15-17 good for working on tacks on 12m+surfboard.

Delayed by endless meetings so arrived way later than usual. Thought we missed all the good stuff but surprisingly scored steady SW 22-26 perfect for 8m+surfboard with full depower. Even more surprising was how smooth the swell was ... even in the river mouth ... super fun wave rides.

Steady SW 25 with nicely formed swell ... perfect for 8m+surfboard ... even got upwind with the 5m. Worked on tacks and strapless air attempts.

Unexpected low cloud made for rodeo-like gusty S 20-28 by the sandbar. Worked my way upwind to the cliffs on 8m+surfboard to find steadier conditions. South wind made for some interesting wave rides. Good workout was tons of fun.

Didn't feel quite as bad as this graph suggests

Another day of unexpected cloud. Steady SW 18-20 to start before becoming gusty mid-afternoon. 8m+surfboard was the call.

P.S. Motor on SWS shuttle was out for repair so Aerial provided the shuttle service today.
