Some models do suggest that late day wind. This would be good reward to those who dedicated to the early start. My window of "worthwhileness to make the trip" is closing.

Yeah, I can only be on the water until 2:30, so I think it's a bust for me today.

Scored over an hour on 8m in SSE 25g30. Now it's back to 12m conditions.

CB 7c. First got out on 4.5m/79L but too light (15 - 17 SE knots) so pumped my 8m kite and was just right for 1.5 hour session. I find it was getting harder to get motivated if I’m the only one going out but beer + hot tub in mind helped me to go out there and enjoy the beach to myself.

Thanks to Alton, for letting me use his pump, I was able to get out on my new Slick 3.5! Wow smaller wings are so fun! When they are powered up that is, the wind was up and down so I spent quite a bit of time slogging around. When it was on though it was a blast, I managed to get some one handed switch stance rides which were amazing! I love the boom, it's so easy to flip around and adjust your hands. I had heard some people got forearm fatigue but didn't notice it today, although I wasn't powered up for long so we will see how it goes. Can't wait to get back out on it. I got some great photos but they are now in Davey Jones's Locker along with my new camera.

Excellent way to end the 2021 season with a wave session at 3rd Ave.

Morning session 30 min on 12m+surfboard in marginal SSE 16-18.

Afternoon session (until dark) totalled over 2 hrs in SSE 25g30 on 8m+surfboard between lulls (2 major lulls). Hit lots of small floating debris. Waves were slightly disorganized but it was easy to find clean waist high waves outside for plenty of bottom turns.

Good turn out ... over 10 kiters

How do you self launch at CB I'm curious?

I got a decent 1:45 on the water, at times overpowered on my 12m. Wind was a bit gusty and up and down. There were a few nice waves when the tide was at it's low.
