After trying the ferry terminal and aborting, I went to 72nd as you suggested. 2 kiters out but but the time I hummed and ha’d the wind died off. Super nice flat water. Lovely spot were it not for the marsh. How often is that a rideable place? How would I know when to try ?

Riding there is actually not allowed. There was a sign at some point forbidding Kiteboarding. It is hunting season from Sept - March so often you will be in the middle of a warzone. It's also the Boundary Bay Wildlife Management Area as there are rare birds that nest there. Go figure, people come to watch birds while others come to shoot. Cars are also frequently broken into for cash, guns, kiting equipment etc. If you choose to ride there I would be careful.

Good to know but most unfortunate. Looks so nice and calm. Thanks for your post, and for your Friday guidance. :D
