Here's an interesting article concerning "ice" in RICE context. I was surprised.

Adrien - Squamish is starting to look sailable today ... take care of that ankle.

Francis and I are probably heading up around noon.

Wind graph is not looking good. Better to stay home and nurse that ankle.

Thanks for the advice guys.

I'll trying using contrast baths for it this evening. I think it's a combination of a badly bruised heel and slightly sprained/twisted ankle, as my ankle mobility is only slightly impaired, but it's painful for me to put weight on my heel for the time being.

Hope you didn't commit to the drive up today, Alton!

Alton! Nicola Lake looks good today, but I'm not amped on the 3 hour drive. I'd rather hit Squamish. Howe sound calling for inflow 15 to 20 near noon. Temperature gradient doesn't look too good either however partially sunny skies for the corridor. What's your thoughts.

Raining like a SOB on north shore, whistler gondola is clouded over, chief is socked in but the wind has turned and is blowing SSW already. What to do.....

Squamish looks pretty sketchy for another week due to precipitation. See WindGuru

Nicola looks good but what a long drive.

I didn't realize wind guru gave accurate forecasts for Squamish. Thanks.
I don't mind the drive to Nicola if it means scoring a wicked session on the water!!!
The worst is when you make the long drive, then and get little or no wind, and then find out Squamish went off.

Made the drive glad I did. Solo 3 hour challenging session complete with high speed foot out of strap followed by knee and hip twist. Looks like I need to read the "price" or "rice" articles. Currently I'm on ice mode. Ouch. :(

Two's company!

Good luck with the recovery. I think I can be back on the water middle of next week.
