Yep good company for the early session when I'm often solo (windsurf) at that time.

2nd session with Michael after rigging down and walking back out was good though I'd say was best during the time Brian mentioned. Word has it on the low low tide maybe best to do Boat launch and go to the mile marker (or kite 8-) ).

Ferry Terminal. Dead flat and probably 30 knots. I'm sure I could make a personal best speed record. Also raining which makes it extremely uncomfortable outside my van. Might go 3.8 and 20.5" Roberts but this rain is really pelting.

Started off slowly and finally caved and rigged big gear (5.3/116) after watching Mike and Brian enjoy the building swell on the outside. Wind started to ramp up as I was walking out in the low tide. Big board, overpowered 5.3 and healing knee combo was not what the doctor ordered. Took one ride out to work up wind gybed and exited at 4th to shorten the walk. Drove the van up, re-rigged 4.5/92 and that was much better (full flat at the peak of the wind). Some nice sets of smoothies just off the edge of the second bank and the wind swell had more energy today, some even breaking when they hit the second bank. Fun backside rides and some multi-hit frontside rides. Hit a few small test jumps and they all seemed to go OK, but still not sailing 'normal'. Saw Daniel land a endo-ish forward and rotate 4/5th's of a back loop - nice! Johnny sailed up for a bit and was nice to have company and compare notes. Looked like Gleb was enjoying the his session off the boat ramp. Fun session that!

Part 1 - 3rd Avenue 9 to 10:15 SSE 18-20 on 9m+surfboard shared sweet chest high waves rides with Mike and Brian (windsurfing) until 9m was too much

Part 2 - 3rd Avenue 11 to 12:30 SSE 30-25 on 5m+surfboard. waves where smaller but very clean outside. Pleasantly surprised how well the 5m kite worked in only 25 knots.

Part 3 - White Rock 2 to 3pm SSW 18-25 on 9m+surfboard riding fun waist high waves with Chuck until 9m was way too much

Part 4 - White Rock 3 to 4pm W 25-40 on 5m+surfboard riding with Rob D and Dave B. At first only 25 knots so worked the kite real good. Followed Rob D to find sweet chest high waves towards the mile marker ... just before the CRAZY 40 knots put me in survival mode.

Overall it was only of my favourite waves days ... especially discovering how much fun the 5m Airush Flow is (fast and stable with plenty of drift). I want to use this 5m whenever possible

Nice work Alton! I was done after one session at Centennial. Rigged too big! Should have known better but was able to hold on to the 5.3 until I was spent. Still lots of fun in the waves, hope we get a few more of these spring sessions.
