If Bellingham forecast is correct, Locust is going nuclear at 8am :shock:

That was my call two days ago Alton. Better then 50% chance of 40+ mph at Locust 8-) Glad to see TJ's and a couple of other models finally on the bandwagon. Let's see what happens today :D

The low is heading towards Vancouver. Isobars nice and tight :D

I'll go with the wind optimism. I generally look at a variety of forecasts but based on that I have no clue. Hoping for a local session in the inhabited areas today but we'll see. On stand-by.

Abrielle and I will bring our passports just in case but I don't think we'll need them today.

It just turned on in WR. It is about 20kts and blowing SSW, hmmm perfect conditions at the moment. Do I go now or wait until lunchtime.

Isn't tide too high at East Beach to land your kite safely?

It's should clock SSE around 8am.

I should be okay to launch if in the next hour, but yes, coming home would be an issue. Just have to commit to stay out until lower tide again, or self rescue. The bigger issue is I told the wife she could have the morning to herself.

Since duty calls, you should ride WR now and self-rescue (tide drops after 1pm). 3rd Ave might pick up as late as noon. Hopefully earlier but not sure if you want to take that chance.
