A: I've noticed you are very good at these pre-emptive strikes on the forecasts when you have other commitments. I am hard pressed to remember one time when the wind actually showed up in a meaningful way when you were booked or out of town. Kind of like breaking the first rule of fight club in reverse. :D ;)

I was just looking at that too, but there is no consistency across the models (again) ~ like playing 'wak-a-mole' ~ The good news is you just might land one, if you can keep your schedule open. :D ;)

Thursday > Friday
o WindGuru-GFS (Wed pm run), shown above
o METAR TAF (Thurs pm)
o NOAA surface pressure analysis starting to shape up, shown below

Friday > Thursday
o BWD (Wed am run)
o GFS Spotter

Take your pick? Maybe both? Personally, I will have the van loaded and will be on standby for the next three days (five if Monday holds). It will be interesting to see what the model updates show tonight. With a little luck WindGuru-GFS will be right and we will all be tired and soar by Saturday night! :D ;)

:D :D :D
What C36 said!!

Van will be loaded with allll the toys but I'm really hoping for some decent wavos what with the storm surge and falling tides at Centennial.
We'll def be sore from our soaring!!!
Do I hear there are some forwards in your future C36? Michael?

We might even get a Tony sighting !

Debating on both of these days, thoughts and comments?

What is everyone planning to do?

Like Dave and Chuck I'm on standby for hopefully a few Centennial days of sailing.

Do I hear there are some forwards in your future C36? Michael?
:D We shall see! Camera is ready to go!

That would be a "yes" for me (so long as someone keeps an eye on me - for safety reasons). :D ;)

Sooooo that means I should sail about 3' off the nose of your board just prior to launching, correct?

Some have updated already and I think BWD should update around 8 pm.

METAR TAF has advanced the arrival of the first front to 2 am rolling through until 7 pm (all day event).

TJ's Loop has also joined what now appears to be a consensus forecast (morning wind peaking at 10 am), as shown below.
