High tide all morning with chances of a SW on Sunday.

White Rock or Crescent Beach?

I hear the launch at White Rock is sketchy at high tide but I'd like try kiting there. Crescent is fine at high tide.

Fingers crossed. I'm so hard up for a good blow ... it's been almost 2 weeks.

The good news is BWD and WindGuru are agreeing on this one and WindGuru has upgraded to more an 'all day' event (hope BWD day does too with this evening's update).

There also seems to be some more systems being predicted a week out too (would be nice to see the wind turned back on again).

Debating the same myself, tide is not too high if you are confident launching. There will be sand if you head down to the east after eight or so, and before, just shallow water over sand. Above 4m is when it is super sketchy, the waves make it hard to get away from shore/trees/trains to launch. Should be people to help with launch/land. Careful of the rocks that got displaced, they will be hidden under the water direct in front of the grass but east of the culvert.

I expect crescent will be windier, but the tide switches at 9:30. It is not nearly as good on an incoming tide. WR is my bet with the present forecast, plus the wife can take pictures.

I'm confused............why are you waiting until Sunday? It'll be windy all day Saturday for sure :D Sunday looks stronger but it should still blow hard, Alton, to the south.

Is Locust worth watching tomorrow? Ebey should go pretty good with the direction forecast. Today was sure a bust though with only 2 hours of wind, 7am-9am, at JWSP.

Thanks for the reminder. G-Spot looks marginal but I'll check out TJ later this evening. Tide is good for kiting until 10am.

No sweat Alton. I never sailed at Locust and have no idea what to watch for compared to Ebey on Whidbey. I hope you get some wind...........I'm in the same boat here in Azerbaijan. Too busy at work to sneak off for a day. Pozo was a disaster a few weeks ago :(

SW Sunday, hopefully we aren't jinxing it. Hoping for Ambleside with a backup plan of White Rock.
