Tuesday afternoon might just be a 'warm-up' for a busy week ahead (here's hoping). With a little luck, this could signal an end to the 'toilet bowl' pattern of all the lows making a left turn and heading up to Alaska.

Wind Guru 4km graph looks beautiful. Lots of red and purple.
Hope to be at beach by noon. :P

It's not for sure I can leave work but I see an opportunity at boat launch that reminds me of a session with Michael and later Dave. IF it goes SE in time the lowering tide in the afternoon may produce of the best centennial waves. Yes some ???s.

Yup that's what was thinking, hope you can make it out Mike. When it switches that's where I'll be heading!

Looks like SE 35-45+ mph for Locust and Whidbey from 12noon until dark. Great pressure chart setting up for late morning. Looks like too much E-ENE for local. Hopefully it switches SE earlier rather than later. Have fun out there :D

By the looks of it these winds will be strong (35 knot base at Saturna). Lummi at 30 knots+. All SE by noon.

It will be 2 hours of insanity. I'll focus to get some of it.

Jay, if Suping please hug the jetty, keep low and when you see a set go for it. If you get a few good rides call it a day.

These conditions will be merciless, head high+ surf on high wind. I too will hug the jetty to get a few rights, body will tell.

Michael, it looks like 2 hours of red bull storm chaser at PR (12-2pm), Centennial should be the same I guess; we'll just have to take some photos of rainbow unicorns for Adrien and CC Richi.

I've heard people say Deep Cove can get an outflow, but I've never seen it. Was it sailable, or the devil's wind?

Devil's wind: a phrase I heard down in the Gorge used to describe Rufus/The Wall when there is too much north in the wind for it to settle on the river and instead is drops out of the sky and swirls around in crazy cannonball gusts.

ETA 3rd ave 3:00. The tide should be low enough to be safe if it clicks SW.
