This was at Jericho, but at Acadia it was launchable.

But bailed on Acadia and went to Dog's beach instead. Manage to get out with 8m kite, but it was just super swirly there and gusty so I bailed too. So I ended up going back to Jericho and still wind shadow; wind is about 200 m from shore so sailable with low tide. So f@.. it I bailed and just went to work. Oh well, aiming for afternoon session.

2 hours in early hours on 4.5 when should have been on 3.7. It just didn't let up! The 6am wind dip on the sensor did not happen at Acadia. Water was very mixed up though some playing could be had. Later in my session sailed well past the marker and was some at least head high rollers. Cool to see but not surf style and somewhat lumpy. Good turn out for the real early start. Looks like it's still going strong.

Epic pre-work sesh this morning at Acadia.

On the water from 5:10-6:50. Getting absolutely worked on the 5.2m. A nice "heart attack" session is the only way to describe how overpowered I was :D multiple catapults and crashes into the sail, one which resulted in a tear in the sail, another that bruised my left forearm pretty nicely.. The thrusters really helped keep the board tame today, which was good. I guess the real wind scared all the kiters off, as I didn't see any out

Total of 4 backloop attempts on port. Got one off a perfect steep wave all the way around and got a nice "scoop" nose first landing (followed by the clew touching the water and me kneeling on the board/ in the sail), but that one felt AMAZING! First time I've actually rotated one (starboard or port) enough so that I'm actually over the board for the landing! Unreal.

2 forwards on the way in for good measure, too much wind to gybe the 5.2 well anyways..

Saw Dave huck into some good backie attempts. He was making easier work of carving on some of the faces with a slightly more appropriate setup (4.5/92) :D

Wish I could've stuck around longer, but my 5.2m was probably happy to be rolled up and put away. Even made it in to work early!

Hope the first part of Gulf Road was good, and that it comes back on for Dave's "cool down" session  It would be a shame to finish a 4.0m Acadia day on a 6.1 in spooky wind after a border crossing 8-)

That's great Adrien!, it was the right call, glad you made it so early (last few days at 4:30am it was like any other morning, only runners around, and sun doesn't bother with the surfing, all pluses).

Today at Ambleside there was no proper surf because of the outgoing tide before 7am. At 7am started to get better, it was 15knots, then at 8am 8knots,and at 9am about 18knots. But the surf at 9am was lacking in that 1.0m was not enough (1.4m at hb is the minimum for proper jumping as you need deep water below when landing, and surf breaks farther from beach).

Next session like today may be a while.

Sorry for slow reply.... Bit jammed up last 24 hrs... Thanks for letting me know, still keen to be there whenever it can be done...keep me posted I am sure the stars, planets, wind, tide and work will all align perfectly at some point..
