I posted to the Facebook page but I don’t think the admin will allow it. So the first words that came to mind was FUCK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!

What a total drag. I feel for all the new people just getting into the wind sports. I remember being so stoked when the wind was cranking. An unbelievable loss. Driving from the lower mainland then jumping onto a boat? Dunno about that.

I climbed up to get a good look at the spit yesterday, I could clearly see the gap.

And wait for low tide for kitesurfing

There's still lots more to be removed, but yes at low tide people could walk through the mud on the estuary side, or float down the river.

There was a reason why DOS never bothered to replace the windsurfing signs to kitesurfing signs on hwy 99. — this new Spit configuration shows why.
