Ambelside was heavily flooded this morning too. At 10 am the road was closed and cars were trapped inside the park waiting for the water to drop. Waves were huge; flooding right up the beach and across the path, then draining into the park and lagoon. Pictures don’t do it justice but here are a few :

Got plummelled in the Ambleside shore break attempting to water start strapless on my water logged beater surfboard. Waited for the shore break to subside as tide dropped but it never happened.

Ended up with a small cut in my hand from barnacles and 1" tear in my new wetsuit ... yet another project for the weekend (aquaseal+neo with tenacious tape for backing)

I can't complain ... in the last 7 days, I pinched out 2 wave sessions at 3rd Ave and 2 pow sessions at Cypress

Got a chilly 1 hour session at FT 3:00-4:00. Well powered on my 12m, 2 others on 9m. Good way to start the weekend. 2 hours after finishing and I still can’t feel my toes.
