The Jericho pier looks like it's almost under water and the tide still has another .4M to go.

The pier looks like it will be closed for a while after this, it looks like half the railing is gone on the west side.

Wow, have a look at the Jericho webcam: the 4.9 m high tide is right now, and you can see the waves crashing over the pier. Some wicked shorebreak upwind of the pier too. I imagine a huge load of rolling logs must be hitting the shore at Acadia!

The cam operator is focussing on the pier right now, it is moving up and down with each swell like a floating dock. It is going to be in rough shape after this.

Yeah, looks like a few logs made it up on to the pier and smashed the shit out of the West side of it.

Tsawwassen and Jericho sensors are going up and down between W 25 to 40 ... so I guess it's very gusty.

Looks like the waves are washing right up to the grass now too, so there is no sand to pump / launch / land at Jericho.

Now that middle part has cracked loose and is bobbing up and down with the waves

If you can wait til 2-3 pm the tide will drop down (to 3m) ... but so will the air temp ... and wind strength ... so maybe wind chill will be bearable?
