I know, I hope it switches soon it's killing me watching 30 knots of South wind in Boundary Bay, with a low tide too!

Same!!! Would have have done dawn patrol, the gfs forecast looked like the outlier. But looks like Halibut banks have switched NW so probably soon.

Gusts to 35 at Jericho now. Looks a little hectic for my taste, at these temps. Have fun and play safe.

Looks like the JSCA main cam has come loose from it's mount, still functional but shaky and sometimes pans to the ground.

With the storm surge the Jericho Pier is already pretty much under water and there is still 0.3m more tide to come

Waves down at Tolmie St. look pretty good on the cam.

First time the surface is over the height of the pier since I have been watching. Crazy. I'm guessing a combination of super tide and storm surge? No fishermen today!

Yikes! Just saw someone come in just upwind of the Pier on a small kite and surfboard only to end up either releasing or crashing their kite over the Pier.

Remember: Distance is your friend!

Saw that too, yikes! Looking like the longshore current is really ripping with the storm surge and incoming tide, might be pretty hard staying upwind. I'm stuck in meetings all afternoon, but looking fairly treacherous out there today!
