Sweet SW 18-22 on 8m. Alton JR challenged me to down loop after she nailed them for the first time ... then I showed her up with a bunch of down loops on a TT ... haven't done them in several years.

Today was Alton JR's first for down loop transitions on a TT and riding a strapless surfboard ... she's still figuring out the foot switch after gybing.

Doug, I take this as good news in that you must have found your foil on the sea bottom.

Session 100 !!!

Sweet day of SW 20-24. Restored my old North Bar (24.5m lines and high Y) with new depower cleat and new flag out line ... worked well with the 8m Airush Ultra ... just slightly more lag but boosting was great.

Also got a chance to test my repaired 5m (splitting leading edge and delaminating deflate and strut valves) in SW 24. Just enough to head upwind of the river. Best part was a big patch of flat water leeward of the sandbar at the river mouth ... perfect for cranking hero gybes ... and got it all to myself.

Shared both the 8m and 5m with Alton JR who is now showing me up with board grabs.

Great way to start the long weekend. Friday was steady SW 18-20 ... Perfect for both 12m+TT with full depower and 8m+surfboard with no depower.

Alton JR persuaded/shamed me into trying back rolls. Of my many attempts on 12m+TT, I got full rotations only 3 times but still in the water. Gotta work on my load and pop.

Three really good days in a row for me at the Spit. Good wind, warm, traffic wasn't too bad. Yesterday was the best wind, 4.6 felt really good and locked in. Today had some super flat water upwind but less wind. 5.0 felt really good. Lots of windsurfers today.

Many of the wingers are getting really good. Yesterday I was doing 36-40 kph on the reaches and one winger was smoking me, I had no idea they could rip that fast.

Took my old 9m Blade Trigger for a spin in SW 18-22 ... what a twitchy piece of sh*t ... looks like a high aspect ratio kite.

After Alton Jr was done, I took the 8m Airush Ultra for a spin ... ahhhh ... much better.
