Osoyoos - Haynes Point July 2-2021

Dawn Patrol with a nice sunrise tioday
air temp:24
water temp “bathtub”
6.6 sailworks hucker
126L starboard
It blew all night so after a cup of Folgers dark roast I had
beauty session this morning - sailing of the north side of the campsite -
The Ski Boat is gassed up and staying parked today.

Ive sailed here a few times , wind is consistent and warm, usually blows from the north. Osoyoos is a good place to sail, lots of good safe launches and warm water. wind is usually
20-25mph with bluebird skies.

Also did some foiling last night with a lighter south wind.

Is it kite friendly? What’s the launch like?

We spent a couple of days in Osoyoos last summer and I think I could have happily windfoiled every day.

Haines Point campsite

Nice foil session this morning
6.6 sialworks hucker and LP foil
only a few big crashes today.

I found a big weed salad in the middle of the lake just about 2’ below the surface.

Launch for kiters: satellite view on your Mapapp
Spartan drive- you will see a beach access between 2 properties right at the point -(be extra nice to the neighbours !!)
side shore wind -& pebble beach.

see you on the water !
