Squamish looks awfully good now. Instead, I'm betting on an evening session at Spanish Banks for a change ... after 7 consecutive sessions at the Spit

It was awesomely good. A little colder though and thought maybe a sign of westerly to come tonight

The usual suspects were there

OSR Nexen. Access is still open to the launch area. The Sandy beach is closed. Sailable inflow already. Looking like a great afternoon here with thermals aided by the frontal push.

Pinched out one more session (9 consecutive days) before weather messes up the wind.

SW 20 good for 9m+surfboard. Called it quits after 2 hrs when wind became a little punchy.

A great 2 hrs session at the Spit. With sandbars exposed the river was glassy smooth ... perfect for extra speed on 9m+surfboard. Only 3 of us in the river at any one time ... no wakes. Wind was SW 16-20 ... a lot steadier than the graph depicts.

Not as great as yesterday but patiently waited for sandbar as early arrivals whined about gusty conditions and left. My late afternoon 2hr session was relatively steady SW 18-25 perfect for 9m+surfboard ... but I hated the crowds in the river and the disorganized chop upwind of the river ... basically nowhere to go.

Fun 1.5 hrs on 9m+surfboard. SSE 18-24 not as gusty as the wind graph depicts. Just a strange angle and crazy ass crop at river mouth.

Quicky early 1.5 hr session on 12m+surfboard before crowds arrived. Steady SW 16-18 before it wasn't. Looks like the wind became steady again after I left.
