Fun Dawn session at Tswassen on the 9m. Then taught my 3rd old to ride his pedal bike. Then quick 12m Soul session in WREB, then a big Easter egg hunt. Sunny Day well utilized.

Spring. 5 am alarm. Snoozed when I saw the 25 mph (secretly hoping for a warmer session later in the day, if only the wind would linger). Finally arrived at the beach about 10 am, just in time for the ‘tank’ that METAR TAF has predicted. Luckily METAR TAF was wrong and BWD 1 was right! Mid-day wind on an ebbing tide! Sun and rolling wind swell completed the Easter Sunday treat! Johnny2 was just coming in and I followed Brad, Big John and Kate out. Started out on big gear (5.3/116) then came in for 4.5/92 when the flattening didn’t help, then finished with a “cool down” on big gear. Cold on the bare hands, but doable. I kept telling myself it was more of a riding day then jumping day. Then got in a few test jumps in both directions near the end of the session and so-far-so-good. Water was chilly but there were moments in the sun when it felt like spring had finally cracked the door open.

Best Easter ever! After missing out on the morning festivities because of an easter egg hunt and Brunch, I was glad to see the wind held for the afternoon. Warm day with Perfect 4.5 and 78L conditions, nice to see some of the crew as they were leaving as I arrived. Hopefully a little westerly left tomorrow for some foiling.

More pics from today!! Definitely got more wind than expected. The cold was rough on the hands though. Ouch!

Got a nice 2 hour session in Sunday afternoon. My Liquid Force max flow valve gave me a bit of a scare at the start but overall it was a nice day out with strong winds and small waves.

Thanks for the photos David.
